NEXT WEEK is Soul Food Sunday! // Our annual Soul Food Dinner is coming next Sunday, October 28th! Plan to stay after worship for fellowship and a soul food feast of fried chicken, greens, mac & cheese, and all the fix’ns!
RCFL 20th Anniversary Fundraising Gala, NEXT SATURDAY, October 27th // Join RCFL this Saturday, October 27th at 5pm at the Loppet Trailhead in Theo Wirth Park as we celebrate 20 years of inclusive development and intentional relationship in Harrison and North Minneapolis. You can purchase tickets or sponsor a table here, visit our Facebook page for more information, or contact Sara Huelle (sara@redeemercenter.org), Pastor Kelly (pastor@redeemermpls.org), or talk to Amy in the church office! FREE FLU SHOTS on Soul Food Sunday! // Once again, Fairview Health is partnering with Redeemer to host a free flu shot clinic on Soul Food Sunday, October 28th from 10:30am-1:30pm in the church library for all people aged 6 months and up (no nasal mist). The flu season starts as early as October and can last until late May, and getting vaccinated in the fall is the best way to protect yourself, family, and friends (especially those with immuno-vulnerabilities who can’t receive the vaccine!). It takes about two weeks after it’s given to be fully effective, and effectiveness can vary from year to year even if it’s not an exact match. But even if it’s not an exact match, getting the flu shot can significantly shorten its duration and lessen the symptoms. So don’t be shy! Roll up your sleeve and come to the Redeemer Flu Clinic. Resident Flu Guru and Nurse Extraordinaire Beth Heinly-Munk will be there to assist and hold your hand should you need her to! Join us for Redeemer Women’s Annual Retreat // Save the date and mark your calendars for Redeemer’s annual Women’s Retreat to Bay Lake Camp. This year we’ll head up to Bay Lake on Friday, November 2nd and return Sunday, November 4th. Saturday we’ll be joined by a Full Voice mentor to lead us women into full expression. You can register online here, and forms are available on the back table during services. If you have questions, please contact Pastor Babette (bchatman@redeemercenter.org) Fellowship is Back! // Join us for fellowship meals next week October 28th (Soul Food Sunday!), November 11th, and December 16th immediately following morning services. We’ll break bread and celebrate the turning of seasons!
