Epiphany Worship
Sunday, January 8th at 10:30am
The Feast of Epiphany (“manifestation”) concludes the Christmas season with a celebration of God’s glory revealed in the person of Jesus Christ.  In Isaiah and Ephesians, that glory is
Picture
proclaimed for all nations and people. Like the light of the star that guided the magi to Jesus, the light of Christ reveals who we are: children of God who are claimed and washed in the waters of baptism. We are sent out to be beacons of hope, sharing the good news of God’s love to all people. We will celebrate in worship with a service of Baptismal Reaffirmation, recommitting to the promises of Baptism.

Holiday Office Hours

Church offices will be
closed Monday, January 2nd in observance of the New Year holiday and to give staff restful time at home with family and friends. Pastor Jen will still be available for pastoral care, and you may reach her by email or phone as needed. We will return to regular office hours January 3, 2023!

Emergency & Ongoing Support for Jasmine Greene
Jasmine Greene is a former Redeemer Center for Life staff member who joined RCFL and moved into Redeemer housing before the birth of her first son, Noble. She has since moved on to a family apartment in St. Paul and started her own wellness business. In November, she gave birth to her second son, King Neb, and is struggling to make ends meet between rent, maternity leave, and caring for two young sons as a single mom.  We are rallying behind Jasmine, Noble, and King Neb to see their immediate and ongoing needs met! Right now, she needs to pay January rent of $1028 by January 5th.
Picture
You may give directly to Jasmine via venmo: @JasmineGreene93 or give via cashapp through Amy Koopman ($AmyKoop) or payapl (ojyma@yahoo.com). If you'd like to deposit directly into her rent account, please contact Amy in the church office for direct deposit or recurring gift information. If you prefer to give via cash or check, you may leave your gift in the church office or give to Trai Dunlap at worship!

Let's surround Jasmine in love & financial support!

RLC Finances:
Ending Well in 2022

We pray, “God lead us, God guide us.” The Redeemer community is indeed generous! To continue to end well and be in the best financial position possible for 2023 we ask you to prayerfully consider whether you are able to make an extra offering towards Redeemer. Please reach out to Pastor Jen Collins, council treasurer Kelly Shumacher-Fuller, Treasurer, or council president Mike Tarras (612-231-8323) if you have questions about 2022 or 2023 finances!

AWAKE.
Sundays in Advent at 10:30 am

The new church year begins with a wake-up call: Christ is coming soon! In Advent’s first readings both Paul and Jesus challenge us to wake from sleep, for we know neither the day nor hour of the Lord’s coming. Isaiah proclaims the day when God will gather all people on the holy mountain and there will be no more war or suffering. Though we vigilantly watch for the promised day of salvation, we wait for what we already have: Christ comes among us as the word and meal that strengthens our faith in the promises of God.

How are you keeping awake with HOPE?

WELCOME to LEON DIXON, JR.
New Executive Director of RCFL

This is another monumental transition in our partnering organization Redeemer Center for Life. Pastor Jen Collins has been actively involved in the process to hire the new executive
director. She has been a part of the interviews, continued prayerful conversations with RCFL board members as they made the decision to offer Leon Dixon, Jr. to the position to join us. Pastor Jen has met with Leon and has said, “There is a good energy and synergy here, I am hopeful for what can and will happen. God is good and will work through us to do good work for this community as we strive to be a beacon of hope. I look forward to welcoming and working alongside Leon.” Stay tuned for opportunities to meet him and welcome Leon to the neighborhood.
