ALL SAINTS SUNDAY

Next Sunday, Nov. 6th, we will have a remembrance table set up during worship.

We invite you to bring
a photo or memorabilia to honor a loved one who’s died, and we will celebrate, remember, and honor them with a community altar.

The worship service will be followed by Pie Fellowship ~
so bake or buy a pie to share with our neighbors!

SUPPORTING
MANDY & BLAKE

Some of our Redeemer community members have joined up to rally support for Mandy and Blake Dion as they prepare to move into their new apartment! We are asking that you:
1) visit and share the GoFundMe link
and make a donation to help offset the cost of their rent increase due to moving to a temporary market rate apartment; and
2)
stay tuned for helping them move in November to their new home less than 1/2 mile from their current RCFL apartment!

HELP US CREATE MEANINGFUL WORSHIP
Now that we are hosting worship indoors, we need YOU to volunteers to be a reader (also known as a lector), usher, and/or be communion assistants during our services. This is the work of the people: Young and old are welcome to participate. Reach out to Randy and Diana Romsdahl (rjromsdahl@gmail.com) or Pastor Jen (pastor@redeemermpls.org) to sign up ahead, the morning of, or to ask any questions!

THANK YOU for DIAPERS!

Redeemer came through “big time” with about 10 boxes of diapers and many individual packs. Families are very grateful for the support they are receiving. If you know of any congregations or organizations that might be interested in donating diapers, please contact Sally Ankerfelt at sally@giftfamilyservices.com.
CALLING ALL TURKEYS!

The local food shelf at MCCC is hoping to give away as many turkeys as possible on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. If you are picking up a turkey for yourself and are able to pick up one or two more, the food shelf would be grateful. Sally will be available at Redeemer Lutheran on Saturday morning 9:45-10:30 p.m. to receive turkeys or you can drop them off directly at MCCC on Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. (1922 4th Ave N.).

If you are unable to deliver your turkey, call the church office and leave a message for Sally or email her at sally@giftfamilyservices.com so she can arrange a pick up. Thank you for considering this opportunity.

Advent Season 2022: Let's Gather!
Pastor Jen is curious about leading some gatherings around conversation, learning, and spiritual practices during the season of Advent as we anticipate Christ's incarnation. To help us determine WHEN & WHERE to meet, follow this link and take a short survey:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Z9WBFD6

COVID-19 PROTOCOL UPDATE
Redeemer’s Council met Tuesday, August 20, 2022 and moved to update the mask policy to “Mask Wearing is Welcomed” for worship services and all other events or meetings that occur at the church. Redeemer remains committed to the health and well-being of our community, and this update affirms and encourages individuals to continue to make good personal choices about COVID-19. As you make decisions to keep yourself and others healthy, the Redeemer Council and Pastor Jen strongly encourage the following:

   * If you are eligible for vaccination, ensure that you are up-to-date on booster shots.
   * Wear a high-quality mask. As we know that SARS-COV-2 spreads through aerosols. N95 or KN95 masks prevent 95% of particles from entering the airway, and Redeemer will strive to offer these masks for both adults and children as needed, especially as we move indoors.
    * Pay attention to local data on COVID-19 spread. You may want to track wastewater data to better understand the prevalence of COVID-19 in the metro area.
    * Use rapid tests, particularly before gathering with others, to help gauge your health.
    * If you are sick or have been exposed to someone with COVID, please stay home and join online instead of in person.

However you choose to participate in our congregational life, we will continue to do this together! We hope that you know that you are loved, welcomed and valued here at Redeemer. We look forward to moving forward and navigating life together during these next few seasons here at Redeemer. Please reach out to council or Pastor Jen Collins with any questions, concerns or if you need help finding the resources you need to remain healthy and safe.
