Easter Weekend Services // Please join us Tonight (Friday, March 30th) at Redeemer for our Good Friday worship at 7pm. Sunday morning, April 1st, you're invited to our Sunrise Easter Celebration at 7am, Annual Easter Breakfast served up by the Redeemer Men from 8-9:30am, Easter Celebration at 10am (note our time change!), and Children's Easter Egg Hunt following worship.

The Dream Continues: A Worship Service Honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr: April 3rd, 7pm at St. Mary’s Basilica // Convened by the leaders of the Historic Black Church in Minnesota, this hope-filled community service will pay tribute to the work and vision of Dr. King. On April 3, 1968, King gave his famous, final sermon, “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop.” Fifty years later, we gather under the leadership of the Historic Black Church to worship, witness, and declare that The Dream Continues. WELCOME ADA JANE CANNIFF-KESECKER! // Congratulations to Aubrey, Vicar Matt, and Nora Canniff-Kesecker on the birth of Ada Jane on March 21, 2018 at 6:40pm! She was 9lbs, 22 inches long, and is absolutely perfect. PROPHETIC: Amplifying Queer & Colorful Voices with Jennifer Knapp coming May 18-19, 2018 // Mark your calendars! May 18 & 19, 2018, Redeemer and four of our partner congregations are hosting queer Christian artist Jennifer Knapp for a Queer & Colorful weekend of free concerts, workshops, and discussions featuring local queer artists and activists of color to explore through art & community what it means for Redeemer to live faithfully and fully at the intersections of Racial and LGBTQIA+ justice and equity. Think of this as Redeemer’s official “coming out” as a queer-affirming congregation. Stay tuned for more information to come!

NEW HOURS! Health Commons at The Living Room is now closed on Mondays starting. Massage at Cora McCorvey is now hosted the 1st and 3rd Friday’s 9am-12pm -- please call 612-344-2221 for an appointment. We continue to host Health Commons at the Living Room on Tuesdays from 3-6pm, Health Commons Zumba on Thursdays at Redeemer, and Health Commons Yoga at the Living Room on Fridays. H-Cubed: HARRISON, HEALING, HARMONY this Friday, March 23rd // This month, our theme is "Seasonal of Renewal" and we will explore the question, "What do you want to nurture, blossom, or bring forward in your life?" Our featured performing artist is powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Mayyadda Major. Our featured visual artist is masterful painter and art teacher Kenneth TheArtTeacher Caldwell. Emerging soul and funk ensemble, The Poetic Diaspora, will be the house band and we'll be serving free, fresh dishes from our favorite local caterer, Gerard Klass of Klassics. Come hungry! March for Our Lives, March 24, 9am-12pm at State Capitol // On Saturday, March 24th, Redeemer congregants will join the Twin Cities for the national March for Our Lives to stand up to gun violence and demand sensible gun reform for the sake of our kids and communities. Those who want to attend will meet at Redeemer at 9am for prayer and a 9:30 am Redeemer bus departure. (Yes, you read that right: We’re renting a bus, so let’s fill it up!) If you plan to attend, please register here or on the Sign-Up Sheet on the back table at church on Sunday.

Twice-Monthly Sunday Fellowship Meals // We’re happy to announce that through the rest of the year, Redeemer will host meals after worship every second and last Sundays each month. Through these meals, we invite everyone to get to know other congregants and our Harrison neighbors better. If you’d like to sign up to bring a dish to share, please contact Bitta Gordon or Minister of Fellowship Steve Patnode. There will be a POTLUCK fellowship meal this Sunday, March 25th. Please bring a dish to share and join us after worship!

Bertha McKinney Sends Her Thanks! // Bertha wants to thank everyone for their support and prayers. She’s healing well. She’s beginning to get around with a walker and will soon transition to a cane. Last week, they took the pins out of her hand and it’s healing well, too. She wants everyone to know that she’ll be making it over to Redeemer as soon as the snow allows! She still needs some help with meals and there are still spots open in the meal train! Holy Hoops Basketball Games, this Sunday at 3:30pm // Each year, high school youth participate in the Holy Hoops Basketball League with young people from other churches around the metro area. The purpose of the Holy Hoops is to provide relaxed yet structured games in a Christ-centered setting - allowing youth an opportunity for fun and exercise while building relationships with teammates, opponents, and God. Devotions, prayers, and community service are a part of each team’s experience. Games are on Sunday afternoons at 3:30pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Brighton, MN from February to the beginning of April, when we have our annual competition at Augsburg College.​ Come cheer us on!
