Synod Assembly This Weekend
This weekend several Redeemer representatives will be participating in the annual Synod Assembly. This year’s synod assembly’s theme is “Real Presence: In our neighborhoods, with our neighbors.” This assembly is a way for our congregation to connect to the larger community and church by gathering with representatives of other Minneapolis area Lutheran churches. We look forward to hearing about the event from our delegates! Welcoming Back Pastor Kelly-Meal after Church on Sunday Join us after church on Sunday May 7th to hear about Pastor Kelly's trip to Israel and Palestine! We'll enjoy a lunch organized by Redeemer’s Fellowship Team. The meal will be catered by Holy Land Deli with foods from the Middle East and the Mediterranean. If you are able, please help by bringing a Middle Eastern inspired dish of your own. We are hoping for olives, tabouli, Greek salad, pita chips or pita bread, and/or baklava! Other dishes are always welcomed and appreciated! Please contact Jordan at leightaylor1990@gmail.com or Sara at saralbob@gmail.com if you are willing to contribute or have additional questions. We look forward to seeing you all for food and fellowship on Sunday. H-Cubed: Friday, May 19th H-cubed stands for Harrison, Healing and Harmony. H-cubed is a monthly community space where we share art, poetry, music, and conversation around systemic issues. This month’s H-Cubed, “Grounded and Growing” will be on May 19th. As always, a sign-up sheet to perform or speak will be available at the event for those wanting to share - poetry, music, dance, art, or just speak what's on your mind. Food and refreshments will be served! The event will begin at 7:30-10:00 in the Living Room (1716 Glenwood Ave). All are welcome, come and go as you are able! Support the Youth Programs!
