Welcoming Back Pastor Kelly and Babette: Sunday, June 4th
Pastor Kelly and Babette left for their trip to Germany last week.  They are both part of a delegation from our synod visiting Leipzig, Germany in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. They will be gone for about a week longer and will join us again for worship on June 4th.  We will celebrate their travels and safe arrivals after church on Sunday, June 4th with a festive meal with food from around the world!

A Blessed Ramadan to our Muslim Neighbors
Our Muslim neighbors begin Ramadan this evening, Friday, May 26th. Ramadan is a month of fasting that continues until June 24th.  You may notice some signs in front of Redeemer and other churches around the cities that say “Blessed Ramadan.”  This is one small way that individuals and churches join together in making a statement of support and love for our Muslim neighbors. To our many Muslim neighbors in North Minneapolis and the Twin Cities, we wish a Blessed Ramadan!

Help Get the Word Out: Meeting our Neighbors this Tuesday!
Help get the word out about Redeemer’s summer programming and meet our neighbors!  We will be walking the neighborhood and handing out flyers on May 30th from 3:00-5:00pm.  If you are interested in helping out, please sign up HERE, or contact Alissa (vicar@redeemermpls.org).

Please help recognize graduates at the June 28 Cookout
Could you apply for a Thrivent Action Team and be part of a cookout to recognize our community’s graduates on Wednesday, June 28? Even if you are not a Thrivent member, you can become an Associate Member and apply for a Thrivent Action Team to receive $250 for this special service event. Please contact Mary Simonson Clark at development@redeemercenter.org or 612-636-5104 to help with this special June 28 cookout.

Summer at Redeemer 2017 Begins June 14th!
This summer, Redeemer will once again be engaged in lots of summer programming for the church and community.  Redeemer hosts STEP-UP interns, youth aged 14-21 who will be working in a variety of roles in the church, bike shop and community.  Additionally, Redeemer hosts programming for younger youth on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the summer as well as Vacation Bible School (VBS) programming.  Each Wednesday, Redeemer holds an outdoor cookout with support from our partner churches.  The first cook-out will be on June 14th and will serve as a kick-off to summer at Redeemer.  Find out more detailed information about programs below as well as a list of important summer dates.

Venture North Bike and Coffee Shop
Venture North Bike and Coffee Shop will be closed Monday, May 29, for Memorial Day. Why not enjoy the day with a leisurely bike ride? Venture North will re-open on Tuesday, May 30, to meet all your bicycle needs. Whether you need a tune-up or a new* bike, Venture North Bike and Coffee Shop is a full service bike shop that also is  a great place to shop for Father’s Day gifts.
