Redeemer Center for Life has raised over $14,000 since kicking off our year-end matching-funds drive in November. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Redeemer Staff ! The Redeemer Offices will be closed on Monday, December 26th and Monday, January 2nd for staff to observe the holidays. H-Cubed is Coming Up! Don’t miss the next H-Cubed open-mic event on December 30th, 6:00-9:00pm in the Living Room (1718 Glenwood Ave). H-Cubed is an open mic community space for healing. The theme of the evening will be “New Year’s Cheer: Be the Gift”. All are welcome: check out the FB Event and let us know if you can come! Winter Clothes Drive for Kids Redeemer is helping collect warm winter gear for students at a local K-5 school, Bryn Mawr Elementary. Drop off new and gently used winter gloves, boots and snow pants at the Redeemer office or at Venture North anytime between now and Jan. 15. Help Redeemer Fuel Standing Rock Since November, Redeemer has been hosting an effort to process wood for Standing Rock. If you’re interested in helping to cut and/or load firewood, email erica@redeemercenter.org. We’re also looking for a few large tarps that can be used to cover the firewood. Tarps can be dropped off in the main office. To learn more about this effort, check out the story on our website: http://www.redeemermpls.org/redeemer-happenings “Race and…” Forum: January 10th at 7:00pm Join us for the third conversation within a 12-month town hall series on race. The series is a partnership between Westwood Lutheran Church, Redeemer Lutheran Church and Edina Community Lutheran Church. Action Teams Receive $250 Seed Money A Thrivent Action Team provides $250 “seed money” for Thrivent members to use in a service, fundraising, or education project. For more information about Action Teams, go to www.thrivent.com and click on Making a Difference. Applications must be made 21 days before the event.
