It is not uncommon for Redeemer Lutheran Church congregation members to walk Glenwood Ave. and know by name most of the young people passing by. These young people may have gotten connected through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Redeemer After school Program (RAP), People on Bikes bike club, confirmation, basketball, open mic nights, or just by stopping in the church for a glass of water.
For a number of young people, Redeemer and Redeemer Center for Life provided them with their first opportunity on a college campus, first job, first organized sports team, the list goes on. Redeemer doesnt’ just start stop at firsts, but uses the first point of engagement to springboard into a life long relationship.
